Crystal Meth Anonymous
A twelve-step fellowship for people recovering from crystal meth addiction.
What the fellowship is
Crystal Meth Anonymous is a fellowship of people for whom crystal meth became the problem. It works the twelve steps toward recovery from a drug whose damage is physical, mental and spiritual at once.
What members describe
Not a checklist and not a diagnosis — just what people in CMA commonly say brought them in.
- Using compulsively, and being unable to stop once started
- Paranoia, hallucinations or visible physical decline
- Risks taken while using that would be unthinkable otherwise
- Jobs, relationships or housing lost as a direct result
- The particular hopelessness and numbness of a crash
Your first meeting
CMA meetings understand early recovery from meth specifically — the brain fog, the sleep, the months it takes to feel like a person again. Nobody will expect you to be sharp in your first weeks, and that expectation being absent is the point.
Where 12Gradus fits
12Gradus is software for the sponsor, not a substitute for one and not part of any fellowship. Nothing here is affiliated with or endorsed by Crystal Meth Anonymous.
A sponsee's profile records that they are in Crystal Meth Anonymous and dates their clean time from their last use. Daily check-ins, a self-reported urge score, high-risk days noted beside the chart, a rough-moment button that reaches the sponsor immediately, secure chat and a text bridge all work the same in every programme.
The step work is the part that does not. The built-in library is written for Gamblers Anonymous. A sponsor in CMA assigns their own materials instead — which works, and is what sponsors have always done, but it is not the same as having CMA's own step work in the app.
