What the fellowship is

Neurotics Anonymous is a twelve-step fellowship for people recovering from mental and emotional illness. It is peer support rather than treatment, and members commonly use it alongside professional care.

What members describe

Not a checklist and not a diagnosis — just what people in N/A commonly say brought them in.

  • Chronic anxiety, low mood, phobia or swings that run the day
  • Difficulty holding relationships, work or routine because of it
  • A settled sense of loneliness or inadequacy
  • Acting out or withdrawing under emotional pressure
  • Wanting a peer-supported, spiritual path alongside clinical care

Your first meeting

Meetings are quiet and unhurried. Members share the daily texture of living with mental illness without anyone attempting to diagnose or fix them, which is rarer than it should be.

Where 12Gradus fits

12Gradus is software for the sponsor, not a substitute for one and not part of any fellowship. Nothing here is affiliated with or endorsed by Neurotics Anonymous.

A sponsee's profile records that they are in Neurotics Anonymous and dates their clean time from their recovery start. Daily check-ins, a self-reported urge score, high-risk days noted beside the chart, a rough-moment button that reaches the sponsor immediately, secure chat and a text bridge all work the same in every programme.

The step work is the part that does not. The built-in library is written for Gamblers Anonymous. A sponsor in N/A assigns their own materials instead — which works, and is what sponsors have always done, but it is not the same as having N/A's own step work in the app.
